Snowing in Raleigh!

I spent this past weekend “ locked down” so to speak in the kitchen. I agreed to donate 200 hand decorated sugar cookies to the Carolina Ballet’s Land of Enchantment event. I forgot how time consuming cookies can be, but it was a fun project and gave me a break from making cakes. Of course it was for a good cause! After rolling out cookie dough, baking, icing and finally packaging the cookies they were dropped off at Memorial Auditorium in downtown Raleigh on Monday afternoon. After all the work put into the cookies I felt I needed to head over to Glenwood Avenue to reward myself with some tacos and queso dip at Armadillo Grill.
